Replacing power window regulator on 1998 Mercury Mystique?
Gear box on the driver side window regulator self destructed , had to cut the cable to get the window secured in the up postion with a pair of vise grips. I managed to get the two bolts out of the piece that the widow glass mounts in but these bolts screw into a plastic exspansion bushing ?? that are mounted thru the window glass can’t figure out how to remove these bushings in order to get the glass out so I can replace the regulator assembly is there a special tool?
your best bet is to go to a salvage yard and get a complete unit to replace it. it will be cheeper than going to a dealer. thanks gramps
