Just starting a new tropical heated tank?
I would like to get some bright pink, white and black fish for it, I like the big floaty fins and tetras can somebody help please

mumbley does it really take that long to establish??!! I have put the bacteria in it was liquid form, does the ammonia kit explain what levels of ammonia are meant to be in the tank? I hope so
What size tank is it? You will need to cycle it for at least 2-6 weeks before it’s safe for any fish to be added.
It’s very difficult, in fact impossible, to recommend fish suitable.
Avoid any fish labelled “fruit tetra” or similar, they’re victims of the dyed fish trade and won’t live long, and their colour will fade.
Black or white fish are easy to come by (White Skirt Tetras, Black Mollies, Penguin Tetras etc). Bright pink not so easy! There are plenty of marine pink fish but these are not suitable for your freshwater tank and very difficult to keep, bright pink in freshwater just doesn’t occur naturally very often. There are pinky-purple Bettas but they need very carefully selected tank mates.
Whatever fish you choose research their needs very carefully, small in size will not equal small in tank and some fish must be kept in shoals of 6+, livebearers like Mollies must be kept either single sex or in a ratio of 1 male per 2-3 females.
