What was your first weapon?

BB gun,slingshot,.22 rifle or pistol,etc.my first weapon was a daisy red Ryder.what about yours?all answers are greatly appreciated!

My first rifle was a Marlin Model 39-A, ‘Mountie’ 22 caliber rifle. Good gun! Like most lever actions it was very accurate. The only thing it didn’t do well was to feed cartridges when the muzzle was pointed sharply downward.

My first shotgun was a double-barreled, 12 gauge, Stevens-Fox. I was young and failed to appreciate what a superlative shotgun it was. I own it for years, sold it for a, ‘fair price’ at the time, and have, since, watched it’s collector value increase by, about, 10 or 20 times.

My first handgun was a Spanish Star 32 ACP semi-automatic. This little foreign-made pistol was very well finished. It had a beautiful ventilated rib on top of the slide and was highly polished and deeply blued. Compared to the 32 pistol I’m carrying today I made another huge mistake when I sold it.

My second handgun was another beautifully made revolver with another ventilated rib on top – A Colt Python with a six inch barrel. (I still cry when I think about selling that revolver for less money than I had paid for it in order to buy motorcycle insurance.)
