Microsoft trackball optical ball polishing materials and methodology?
I have a microsoft trackball optical… it’s awesome but a little old and the trackball could use some polishing. What is the best possible way (without industrial strength equipment) to polish the ball? After a little research, I’m leaning toward http://www.stormbowling.com/shop/maintenance/37 since it’s made for bowling balls and they’re also mostly plastic. My brother recommended just rubbing it with an old cotton t-shirt and no wet compound/polish…. any thoughts?
Bowling ball polish is formulated specifically for high-performance bowling balls (and they’re NOT made of plastic. The plastic ones you’re thinking of are the ones found in the bowling center for general use or spare shooting, which is not what the ball polish is for) and should not be used for track balls. You should just wipe it over with a soft rag, since you don’t want to wet the insides.
