what is the bioshock series about?
i was considering buying the new bioshock game but i want to know the storyline first. i was watching a trailer but it doesnt explain much. who are the strikers? who are the little sisters? why do they have a needle for an arm? what is rapture? who are the big daddies? what’s the big sister? why does everyone but the big daddy hate the little sister? who is ternabaum? why the hell are they underwater? i just want someone to explain to me everything that they can, i dont care about spoilers
Bioshock is set in the 1950′s and this man named Andrew Ryan was fed up with the world being at war. Its world war two i think. So he decides to build a city under the ocean called Rapture. He wants it to be this perfect city that doesn’t have crime and stuff. Anyway, he is a really smart guy and him and his colleagues start experimenting with genetics and stuff. He comes up with all of these things people can inject to improve themselves in every way. Eventually, all the experimenting gets out of hand and people living in Rapture start going crazy off of the different Injections. The city goes into chaos to the point where even Mr. Ryan himself cannot control the city anymore. Your character is a guy who is sent to investigate what is going on in Rapture so you set off not knowing what you will find there. As you journey through Rapture trying to make sense of it all, you eventually start finding things and altering yourself and getting more drawn in to what is going on down there. You choose whether to be a good guy or bad guy. So that is the basics and in Bioshock 2, ten years have passed and Rapture is in even worse shape than before.

little sisters are genetically modified little girls that collect a substance from the dead citizens of rapture. the big daddys are guys in protective suits that guard them while they extract the stuff from the dead people. the people that are still alive and you all want what the little sisters are taking from the bodies because that stuff is used to modify your abilities and make you a badass.
Tennenbaum is a colleague of Mr. Ryan and she guides you at times through the game.
