Opinion/Poll on second wedding showers/events?
Ladies,
My SIL is a MOH in her friends wedding. She was her MOH in her friend’s first wedding just 2 years ago. The couple married on a grandiose and expensive large wedding and they divorced shortly. Now she is engaged again and will be married this fall. My SIL had to throw yet another shower for her second wedding, buy another dress, write another speech, get another expensive gift. This just seem so odd and inappropriate.
What would you do in this scenario.
1-Would you make your family and friends spends large amounts of cash for a second wedding when your first wedding was not long ago?
2- Would you accept a shower for the Second time around after having once just a couple of years back?
3- Would you use the same MOH and BM for your second, third wedding?
4- Would you expect your family members to rent new tuxes, buy you gifts and spend money and time when you other wedding was just a couple years bacK

If it were me (hopefully it won’t ever be, I’m happily married!), I would do someting low key unless the person I was marrying had not been married before. Assuming my groom was also on his second wedding, here are my answers:
1 – No. (Then again my family and friends didn’t spend large amount of cash for my wedding.)
2 – No.
3 – No.
4. I would never expect gifts or money from my family members so that does not apply. No to renting tuxes also.
