Quad Finger
i have a 150cc off shore quad and it wont start why?

ok, so i love quad/ dirt biking well we have it all apart right now. im typing as my dad trys to figure out why it wont start.
well electric choke, every time we turn it on it will start for about 5 seconds then shut off. when my dad takes the solanoid off and puts his finger there it works fine but when he puts it back on it and trys to start it, it dosnt start. its trying to crank over but it wont start and one know why?
is a 150cc off shore quad 2010

I am unfamiliar with that make of quad.

If you remove the electric choke and you plug the hole with your finger and it works, the electric choke is obviously bad. Follow the wire from the electric choke. If it leads to a “black box”, this black box is probably a sending/sensor unit and has gone bad.

Take the electric choke and the sensor/sending unit to the dealer and have them run a diagnostic check on them to find out which one is malfunctioning or bad.

In the mean time, if plugging the hole works fine without the electric choke, plug the hole until you can get the replacement parts.
