i need ideas for a retro teen bedroom?
im taking down my posters and am painting a redish pink coloured feature wall and need some retro decoration ideas on a budget
What will the other walls’ colour be? I’d suggest apple green.
Also, paint the inside of the door the same colour as either of the walls.
Some other suggestions:
- Get some tiger or leopard print rugs to throw round the room.
- Use black photo frames throughout
- On your feature wall, put up a large blue-coloured artwork or print of a buddha’s face in a black frame
- Definitely need lava lamps.
- And a big paper ball lamp in the middle of the room.
- Low-lying bed with low-lying furniture (ie tables, side-tables). Maybe white in colour.
- Sheets and curtains, match with the artwork (blue). Better still, rather than curtains, use roman blinds in blue.
- Huge cushions in various retro prints of bright colours, a beanbag or two also in bright colours. Alternatively, instead of bright colours, use black but with textured prints if its a small room.
