PBA tour in the USA?
What does it mean to become exempt? And how does the point/ranking system work on tour?
exempt on the pba tour allows you to compete without the extra qualifier events some competitors must complete, or win. in the case of the pba, only 64 players are fully exempt for the season based on previous accomplishments or money list placement the prior season. there are a few lifetime exempt players, such as pete weber or walter ray williams. the power ranking system is based on overall performance, and performance in “major” events. if you are interested in joining the pba you must first average 190 or better for more than two years, and have the endorsemenmt of three current members. see your local pro shop for any other info, they should be able to assist you better.
