The Health Benefits Of Green Tea And Weight Loss

Green tea and weight loss was never related before but green tea has been around for centuries as a beverage especially for people in the Far East. Long ago people were not very concerned about their body weight or whether they were slim or not since most of the people in Far East Asia have slim body build. If you go there, especially in the provinces and countryside, you will find that it is still so.

Green tea is derived from Camellia sinensis plant that contains L-carnitine, which is the major slimming component, and also catechins which helps slow down the building of fats.

Aside from these, there are also other chemicals in green tea that flush out toxins in the body, and the diuretic effect lets you urinate more often and flush out toxins that have accumulated in your body from pollution, smoking and alcohol.

However, the weight loss with green tea are gradual and it needs to be taken regularly for a long time. This is what oriental people especially the Japanese do, they drink tea almost all their lives and since they seldom consume processed food and fried food, there is not much toxin in their bodies. This and genetic factors as well as good weather and clean environment gives them that beautiful skin.
