What was Black Hammer?

Black Hammer was a night recon mission flown by UH-1 aircraft. Marine squadron HML-167 had some Hueys outfitted with Xenon searchlights to recon areas at night. Other squadrons could do it but, they are the ones that I know did it.
At times they were used to light up an area at night for attack when known NVA or Cong were in a location.
