Any Hair dressers ??? what colour will my hair go?
My hair was blk and I have had it bleached and dyed a choc brown, parts of it looks dark brown and other bits look browny red where the bleach took stronger in places….. in the sun light it all glows a redy brown and looks a tiny bit to light for my likeing…anyway i want to be a rich choc brown with a warm look to it so have gone for this hair dye Live XXL Midnight red its just what i am looking for and not really red! but have read a few reviews where people are saying theres went black, does anyone have any advice? will it go black or do you no of a shade lighter I can go to get this look.
I normally go to the hair dressers but really cant afford it just yet.
When you go from a bleached lightness to a darker colour you need to add orange into it to keep it darker so you achieve a rich even colour. Otherwise your hair colour won’t be even as is happening now where the bleach took stronger. Where your hair was more orange from weak bleaching your brown is richer and darker. Orange fills the gap between blonde and dk brown/black.
Your brown will fade quickly without a filler under the brown.
I don’t know what colour red midnight red is (there is so many shades of reds named by loads of company’s it’s hard to know without seeing it) but If it’s a dark red then putting the midnight red in will give a Dk cherry black, in different light it changes.
But if you put a light copper/auburn in your hair to fill it first then put another choc brown over that the colour will be a warm rich strong and fresh chocolate brown. Don’t mix them and dye your hair in one attempt (copper/auburn and choc brown). You need to do them both separately. ie: Dye auburn/copper then wash out and dry hair completely then do a light brown again. Never rush the processes.
