Chicago Cubs
Is 2008 the last ever year the Chicago Cubs will ever make the playoffs?

It has become clear to me that with the way things are going on the Northside of Chicago, it looks like the Chicago Cubs will never have a playoff appearance ever again. Tom Ricketts obviously doesnt care about fileding a winning team, the players have quit, the manager is non-existent and the fans have stopped caring.

Should Cubs fans just start rooting for another team or quit baseball altogether?

No. They have a very talented farm system of up and coming players. Remember, Tom Wilkens, the Cubs Chief Scout was with the Rays before he came to Chicago in 2006. So he put together that young world series team of 2007, and is also the matermind behind the current Rays #1 ranked farm system. When he was in Toranto, he drafted Chris Carpenter and Roy Halladay within a 3 year period….and also drafted Vernon Wells.

He’s already drafted impact players in Tyler Colvin and Andrew Cashner and he is on his way to making the Cubs one of the best farm systems in baseball. Already young talented guys like Sam Fuld, Brett Jackson, Jay Jackson, Cashner, Colvin, Castro that have come up through our system because of him. The Cubs are going to win a world series within 10 years.
