Parakeet breeders in Central NJ?
I live in East Brunswick, NJ and I am considering buying a parakeet (aka budgie.)
I went to Petsmart and saw a very pretty blue-gray one, although I was told that Petsmart and Petco call their birds “stock” or “wholesale” and are generally “evil”.
In other words, I’m not looking for someone telling me to go to these places, because the way they treat the birds is depressing. (Or at least it is to me.)
So, if anyone knows of any budgie breeders in or near central NJ, I would appreciate it.

Well, I don’t live in New Jersey, but I do know a great site that has some budgie breeders listed. I’ve got you a link to their breeder search, just put in “NJ” and scroll down to “Budgerigar”. I know it doesn’t seem like it’s there, but it’s in the parakeet section. The first and second ones look like they should work for you.
