Move To Moncton In New Brunswick From Vancouver..?

Hi, i was deciding between Saskatoon and Moncton. Can someone tell me which city has a better weather conditions throughout the year. And will it be easy for me and my family to find jobs in Moncton without knowing French Language. Does Moncton hourly wages are too low in general or its average like atleast $11 an hour. I work as a Security Officer in a Casino in Vancouver and my wife works in Retail Industry as a Fashion Associate.

Can someone who has lived in Moncton can suggest me if it is a good move from Vancouver or Saskatoon in Saskatchewan will be a better choice to opt. Your opinions will value a lot for my family as you all know there’s lot of hassle and money involved in moving. So, with all your efforts i will be able to make the best decision as neither i have ever been to Saskatoon OR Moncton. Thanks to all.

This is an odd question to me… nobody moves TO Moncton, everybody seems to move AWAY from it!!!

While everyone there is bilingual, you may have some difficulty getting a decent job without being able to speak french. The minimum wage is lower than BC and there are a lot of low paying jobs. The weather in Moncton is not so good – long cold winter, not much in the way of a spring, summer is not too bad but pretty short. It is pretty in the summer, but I find it ugly in the winter.

For options on the East Coast you may more want to consider Halifax, as it is bigger, better jobs, and on average warmer than anywhere else in the maritimes. Or, for a smaller city, maybe Charlottetown – prettier than Moncton, around the same climate and job opportunities, but it is english at least.
