what bowling ball is right for me?
i throw medium speed, medium-low rev rate, and i line myself up with the middle arrow and throw my ball between the 2nd and 3rd arrow on the right side (im right handed). i’m going to be getting a new ball and i want to put the fingertip inserts in for the first time and learn how to use them so i can bowl a little better for school bowling this year. the places i bowl at usually do medium to medium dry lane conditions. i want a ball that hooks, but not too much. the ones i have in mind are:
Storm Tropical
Ebonite Tornado
Brunswick Avalanche
Brunswick Storm
if it helps, right now i use a brunswick power groove reactive. and i;m going to for a 15 lb ball?
anyone have any suggestions on which ball i should buy?
The ball is chosen by elasticity or hardness and the weight should be a certain % of your body weight. I don’t recall the fraction anymore. (Ask the pro) I do remember it has to do with body torque. As far as the hook is concerned, it depends on your delivery more than anything else. The more “English” or 90° rotation (spin) to line of travel you transmit to the ball, the more of a hook you get. That is suppose to be the advantage of the fingertip ball.
