Can I put two female Betta fish in this bowl?
I just bought this bowl and a new female Betta fish. I know it’ll be difficult to get two female Betta’s to get along but it is possible. But is this tank too small to add another female Betta? I’m thinking it seems to be, but compared to the small cups the fish are kept in at the store it might be alright.

I might get a ten gallon tank. But is it really true I can have five in that?? Are you sure they won’t fight/kill eachother?
Two females in such a small container will probably fight, unless they are too sick from the poor water conditions to bother.
The issue with those small bowls is that you can’t heat and filter them. Betta might survive for a while in cold stagnant water, but it’s not ideal, and they are likely to get sick or just randomly drop dead.
Yes a 10gal with 5 female betta is generally safe. The bigger the group of fish, and the tank, the less likely they are to fight. 5 is considered about the minimum number, and that needs about 10gal of water . The extra space and larger number of fish means no one fish is bullied constantly, kept from feeding, and eventually killed. They may have some minor squabbles, but no one gets killed.
